Welcome to Birthday Villa vineyard. Birthday Villa is a boutique vineyard at Malmsbury in the Macedon Ranges Wine Region. The name comes from the 19th Century Queens Birthday Mine at nearby Drummond, discovered on Queen Victoria's birthday. The one and a half hectares of Gewürztraminer vines were planted in 1968, another half a hectare of Cabernet Sauvignon following at a later date.

The Thomas family concentrate on growing quality fruit nurtured by intensive viticultural practises, producing small batches of high quality wine. The wine is made solely from Birthday Villa fruit by winemaker Greg Dedman. Birthday Villa wines are marketed mostly in Victoria, mainly at the Cellar Door.

In the 2013 edition of the James Halliday Australian Wine Companion, Birthday Villa received a four glass rating for its 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon wine.
